Sometimes products and brands just don’t live up to our standards, or are overpriced for what they deliver. These our our opinions from our experiences with the products and manufacturers.

  • Chemical Guys

    • Because of their massive online presence, many people’s first detailing products are from Chemical Guys. Although we love that they are helping popularize detailing, we feel that their products are overpriced for the quality they deliver. Similarly performing products from other companies are generally a fraction of the price.

  • TopCoat F11

    • This internet sensation is marketed as a miracle wash/wax/sealant. However, it would be more accurate to describe it as a detail spray. The sealant properties tend to last a few days if you’re lucky, and the ability to “remove scratches” lasts even less time. TopCoat has also repeatedly failed to give us access to SDS sheets for their products when requested, which is a violation of Federal requirements. While this last point may not matter to you directly, it does show the evasive business practices they employ.
